My Story...

I have always been fascinated by nature and the way it can change its appearance from minute to minute. I started trying to catch what I see as a teenager and the camera has been a constant companion of mine most my life. Over the years, I have been lucky enough to get to spend much of my time outdoors and have had many opportunities to travel to many different places, both near and far. Wherever I have gone, there has always been something incredible to see, whether it was hiking or climbing in the mountains, traveling through different countries, out at sea on research trips, diving in Monterey Bay, or just taking a walk along the coast or in a local park. Nature never ceases to amaze me and it never repeats itself either.

Underwater photography is a little newer for me. I started SCUBA diving in the mid-nineties and took my first camera on a dive back in 2006. I will be the first to admit that the pictures from that trip were horrible, but I got 2 pictures of turtles that showed me what might be and I have been hooked ever since. It is a perfect blending of 3 things I love doing, nature/wildlife photography, SCUBA diving, and travel (when I can get away).

I hope that you enjoy looking at the pictures as much as I did taking them. I always enjoy hearing your thoughts and comments too. I can be reached either through my contact page or on Facebook (I post more pictures and trip reports there that often don't make it to this site)
